We came, we saw, we matched! On Thursday, November 2, 2017, The Perfect Match Tour touched down in the Big Apple to host an intimate foundation matching session with beauty influencers, editors, enthusiasts and those desperately seeking to find "the one". Led by our Founder, Kimberly Smith, Marjani Beauty hosted this beauty soiree with brand/shade matching performed by The Melanin Matcher, Heather Campbell of the Image Concierge and special guest, Celebrity Makeup Artist and Beauty Influencer, Camara Aunique. The evening kicked off with Kimberly speaking about her mission of "Bringing Color To Beautiful," by curating global beauty goods made for all shades of women on her groundbreaking e-commerce destination. "Women of color are my passion, and making sure we have access to the BEST products created with us in mind from inception is so important to me." Camara Aunique chimed in with beauty tips preceding foundation application, including taking care of your skin underneath YOUR makeup and staying hydrated. Aunique also suggested warming the foundation with your hands for sheer coverage. 
Heather Campbell shared 5 tips for foundation matching and elaborated on the below:
- Start with determining whether your skin has cool or warm undertones.
- Always swatch/test foundation on your face after you've tested for allergic reaction on another body part (like your arm or chest)
- Decide if you want light, medium or full coverage?
- Trust your skin type.
- Choose a brand you love!

Nothing beats a good beauty BUZZ, and guest enjoyed Seagrams Spiked and pretty treats from the Pop Cake Shop, while testing new brands and being matched by Campbell and Aunique. Guests engaged the beauty experts and received one-on-one skin and foundation consultations. It was truly a beautiFULL evening.
